After Successful Launch and sale in Millions of Apple iPad , The Indian IITians Based Company Namely Notion ink Soon gonna launch ADAM (Tablet Pc) into the Gadget market soon. Adam is an Indian iPad Killer, its named so because its Cheaper then iPad, has better features then iPad and is Originated From India.
Talking About Notion ink, its an Hyderbad based Tech firm run By Group of IITians and an MBA from IIPM. Recently after huge struggle they have launched the prototype of Adam- The Indian iPad Killer.
Now lets See and compare the features of Notion ink's Adam and Apple's iPad.
Adam Vs iPad:
The Screen of iPad is 9.7" IPS LCD with 1024X786 resolution where as the Adam has 10" Transflective PixelQi LCD (Highly energy efficient screen which was used in one pc per student at just 100$ project).
The Operating system of iPad is iPhone OS 3.2 where as Adam can run Andriod, Chromium and Ubuntu OS. Seeing the OS functionality it can be said that flexibility of Developing Application for Adam is easy.For example in iPad due to iPhone OS only Safari can be run where as in Adam user can run firefox, chrome, etc as per his requirement.
Talking about the Hardware configuration, iPad has Apple A4 processor and Adam has nVidia Tegra 2(Dual Core 1Ghz + Graphics) which is more energy efficient then A4 processor.
iPad has no inbuilt camera for Video chat where as Adam has an 3 Mega Pixel camera with auto focus functionality.
Connectivity features of both iPad and Adam are quite same that is Bluetooth, Wi-fi and 3G connectivity support.
The battery life of iPad is max 10 hours where as Adam can Run upto 16 hours and upto 160 hours if backlight is switched off (that is when used as e-Book reader) which is quite an nice feature of Adam.
There is 0.2 pound weight difference in Adam and iPad, that is iPad is just 1.5 pounds in weight and Adam is 1.7 Pounds.
There are high quality RF, Ambient light, AGPS proximity sensors and Accelerometer are present in Adam.
Most wanted Multi-Tasking feature is present in Adam which is absent in iPad. Also ipad does not supports Flash where as Adam do supports Flash.
Also iPad does not support any external storage where as Adam do Supports external Storage with SD card slot.
Lastly talking about the Price iPad cost 499$+ where as its planned that Adam to be Launched with Price tag of nearby 330$. Which really makes an quite big difference.
So finally seeing all features of Adam and iPad it can be said that Adam is an Real Indian iPad killer.
But the actual problem why Geek's believe that Adam really not gonna affect the iPad is that Adam is gonna be launched in Nearby November these year.Which first was planned to be launched in July these year but due to lack of Manufacture support and many other problems it has been postponed to November these year.
